Our Executive Team
Robert W. Konicki, President
Mr. Konicki has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 25 years in senior management positions. He brings to Community Health Solutions LLC his vast experience in the areas of claims adjudication and processing, administration, marketing, reinsurance, loss prevention, information and technical services, and finance, in addition to extensive experience in the areas of healthcare services. Mr. Konicki has assisted state insurance departments in the conduct of solvency examinations and has assisted an insurance company receiver in the pre-insolvency management of an insurance company. Mr. Konicki received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Bentley College.
Dale F. Schmidt, Chairman, CPA (inactive)
Mr. Schmidt is a leading senior executive experienced in business leadership, operational, financial, and creative management with more than 35 years of executive and managerial experience in various industries. Areas of expertise include presidential and entrepreneurial leadership, executive management and supervisory responsibility, strategic, operational, and financial planning, market analysis, and product development. Mr. Schmidt has served as a CEO, CFO, COO, and President of several life and health insurance companies. Prior to this, Mr. Schmidt spent 10 years as a consultant and CPA employed by KPGMP Peat Marwick and Deloitte & Touche specializing in insurance, auditing and consulting. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Physics and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. Cloud State University and did graduate work in business at the University of St. Thomas.
Dr. Barbara Freeman, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Freeman has been employed by Community Health Solutions LLC since its founding and has over 25 years experience as a medical officer and over 30 years experience as a practicing family physician. Under her leadership, CHS’ comprehensive care coordination program was developed and has evolved to the innovative program it is today. Dr. Freeman has served as a medical management consultant and speaker throughout the United States. She inspires her audiences of friends, insurance executives, community based organization leaders, civil servants and elected officials to seek the highest quality of care in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Dr. Freeman received her Bachelor of Science degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College and her Medical Degree from the University of Louisville. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has served on the URAC Accreditation Committee for the last 7 years.
